The model work portion of a special commission from @Prof_Xenoblade is nearing completion. I'm extremely pleased with how the model has turned out. Just like the majority of my designs the seams will be hidden within different features on the sword.
I have to wait for a package or 2 to arrive before I can finalize the model. There’s a special feature I’m working on implementing into the core area… I wonder what that could be 🤔🤫
Between the grip on this sword, the flutes, and the tapered replica pen I’m starting to think that cylindrically wrapping designs are becoming my shtick haha.
In all seriousness though I’m super proud of how the detail in this sword grip turned out. Not only is it a seamlessly wrapping emboss on an oval shape but it’s also bending at the same time. Lots of strategic CAD features went into making that all work seamlessly.
