I have finally decided to kick things off and dive into this extremely detailed model. That's right, Nimue's Pocket Watch!
Upfront disclaimer, the arms on this model will not be functional. There is already enough detail and complexity to this replica. If I tried to make it function I'd be going way too far off the deep end.
The model work has all been completed and initial print prototyping is completed for the watch face and the pocket watch lid.
The golden frame of the watch is printed separately with a print in place hinge. Further testing and tweaking is needed to ensure that the hinge is strong enough.
The other remaining thing on the list is to develop the tassel and improve the lower surface of the frame piece.
